Practical Attitudes and Actions for Christian Living (book of James):

Got problems? The first section will deal with problems and trials and temptations and our attitude toward them.

Need an attitude adjustment? The second section will deal with our attitudes and actions, and how they relate to things like good works, tongue trouble, and handling envy, jealousy, and pride.

The third section will deal with problems of life and how we view ourselves and our possessions. It will enable us to practice a genuinely Christian way of living related to our stewardship of life and our personal accountability to God. The book of James is the “how to” book of the Christian life. Let’s dig into it at Redemption Bible Study!

  • 66 Books, 1,189 Chapters, and more than 40 men inspired by the Holy Spirit to write, and the Author – God! We take a literal view of the Scriptures, and believe that every word, every letter is there by deliberate design.
  • In our class each week, we study one chapter verse-by-verse, and we find Jesus on every page!
  • Bring your Bibles to Class!
  • The Gospel of Luke – Jesus, the Son of Man: Luke is careful to give a detailed and accurate record of his investigation so that readers can trust with certainty that Jesus is God. Luke also portrays Jesus’ profound interest in people and relationships. He was compassionate to the poor, the sick, the hurting and the sinful. He loved and embraced everyone. Our God became flesh to identify with us, and to show us his genuine love. Only this perfect love can satisfy our deepest need.

Class: Students of the Word
Teachers: Josh Broyles & Brandon Hemming
Age Group: 12-18
Time: Sunday Morning 9 – 10 a.m.
Ongoing class – no signup required
  • 2nd Timothy 2:15 teaches us to ‘study to show ourselves approved unto God’. We are called to be students of God’s Word.
  • As teenagers, you’ve learned what it means to be a student. In middle school and high school you’re learning what it takes to succeed. Things like studying, doing homework, and taking tests are required for you to be a successful student.
  • What does it take to be a successful Christian in the most defining stage of your life? We want young people to be successful students at school, but it is also critically important that they become students of the Word of God, and become doers of the Word!
  • We often discuss the importance of prayer and devoting ourselves to the study and application of God’s Word. It is our desire to equip the next generation with the ability to utilize the power and authority of the Word of God.

Teacher: Jeff Richards
Location: Room 2
Age Group: Adults
Time: Sunday Morning 9 – 10 a.m.
This is a short-term class: Click here to sign-up or at the kiosk.

This class focuses on how to develop your relationship with Christ by walking in the Spirit. If we can deepen our day-by-day connection with God, we can begin to experience the abundant life that Jesus promised! He said “I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly”. In roughly 6 to 8 weeks we’ll cover things like:

  • How to develop your relationship with God / Putting God first
  • Qualifications for eternal life
  • How to talk to God / Conditions to answered prayer
  • How does God talk to me? What does the Word do in our lives?
  • How to be filled with the Holy Spirit
  • How to serve God and witness / Seeking God’s Plan for your life

During the first class you will receive you own multi-page handout that shows everything that we will cover, along with scripture references and questions. If you are motivated and want to dig into the Word, you can work ahead and prepare for upcoming classes. If not, you can feel free to just follow along as we cover many different scriptures that will help you to become a ‘doer of the Word’!

We’ve had lots of seasoned / mature Christians who loved this class, as well as many new converts. We will begin the class as soon as we have enough people signed up (at least 6 – 8). You can expect a casual setting geared toward group discussion and interaction. You will be contacted to let you know when the class will begin.
